Description
Lowers pH of Pool Water
This product is a granular chemical designed to slowly lower the pH of swimming pool water. It is safer to handle and use than liquid acids such as muriatic (hydrochloric) acid.
For best swimmers' experience, maintain pH level to 7.4-7.8. As adding chlorine to your pool increases the pH level, using Swim Best pH MINUS helps balance the pool to ideal pH levels.
Packed in original resealable package. This is more environmentally friendly than repacked, small rigid pail packaging.

Balance total alkalinity in pool water to 80-125 ppm for plaster finishes and 125-150 for vinyl, fiberglass and other non-masonry finishes. For most efficient performance of pool chlorine, pH should be maintained between 7.2 and 7.6. Use a reliable test kit to determine pH. If the test shows a pH above 7.6, add this product to pool water using below dosage guide:
Pounds Required to Lower pH Per 10,000 Gallons
pH Below 7.2: Add pH Plus
pH 7.6-7.8: Add 15 ounces
pH 7.8-8.0: Add 20 ounces
pH 8.0-8.4: Add 30 ounces
To add this product, broadcast into the deep end of the pool when not in use. Add directly to the pool with the pump and filter running. Never add more than 1.5 pounds of this product per 10,000 gallons of pool water at any one time. Allow pool water to recirculate two hours and retest pH. Repeat treatment as necessary. Newly plastered pools may require frequent treatments for the first few weeks while the pool is "curing". Do not add near metal fittings nor allow pH to drop below 7.2. Do not allow undissolved lumps to remain on the pool bottom. These can be broken up by brushing or other means of agitation.
